I have been an Assistant Professor of Engineering and CAD at Los Angeles Pierce College since 2010.  My background prior to teaching was in medical device product development.  Since arriving at Pierce I have updated the former Mechanical Drafting program into the Engineering Design and Technology program. I currently serve as the co-PI on the Department of Education California Alliance for the Long-Term Strengthening of Engineering Transfer Programs (CALSTEP) grant.  I am a graduate of the 2011 Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) Faculty Teaching and Learning Academy (FTLA) designed to develop faculty who explore and test methods of teaching and learning.  In addition, I am an active member of the Pierce College Student Success Committee, Curriculum Committee, and the LACCD Engineering & Technologies Discipline Committee.
