Christopher Corning began teaching part time at Pierce in 2013 and became a full-time faculty member in 2016. He holds a B.A. degree from the University of Illinois and an M.A. from California State University in Northridge. Both degrees are in English with an emphasis on creative writing. He is currently pursuing an doctorate in educational leadership (Ed.D.) from CSUN and is on track to finish in 2020. He is an adviser to the Pierce English Club and serves on the Student Success Committee.
Prof. Corning enjoys spending time with his wife and son--especially when it involves swimming, biking, or running--as well as reading contemporary literature, writing short fiction, seeing movies in the theater, and participating in marathons and triathlons. He lives with his wife and son in Reseda, California.
