How to download the TurningPoint Software:
1) Go to www.turningtechnologies.com and click on Download TurningPoint.

1) Then you get this screen and you choose the one you want. You want TurningPoint 2008 4.1, so click on that. After you complete the download process you should go back and also download TurningPoint AnyWhere.

2) When you click the download link you get a screen that asks for your info – fill that in and submit. Then you get the following screen (which tells you that an email will be sent shortly with download directions).

3) Go to your email and follow the download directions. Download TurningPoint 2008 4.1.
4) Then go back to step 1 and repeat the process but this time download TurningPoint AnyWhere. You can use both pieces of software, each for different situations.
5) Now click to play this video: http://faculty.piercecollege.edu/martinrm/TurningPointInstructions/TurningPointInstructions.html
It shows how to make a slide, put some bells and whistles on it and run a polling session, it also shows how to get the data from the session. The video demonstrates the following info:
• To launch TurningPoint, double click the TurningPoint 2008 icon on your desktop (not the Powerpoint icon). Notice the TurningPoint tool bar has been added to the toolbars of Powerpoint.
• Important: To insert a regular Powerpoint slide you use the Insert menu at the top (the regular Powerpoint menu). To insert a TurningPoint slide you use the Insert Slide menu on the TurningPoint tool bar.
• So, try inserting a TurningPoint slide. “Generic slides” is for the multiple choice style, etc. Then put in your question at the top and your answer choices.
• To put in a fun countdown timer: go to the Insert Object menu, click Countdown, then choose which kind you want.
• To indicate which answer is correct, right-click the number (or letter) of the answer choice that is correct and choose Set as Correct. Then go to the Insert Object menu and choose the Correct Answer Indicator you want to show up after the polling and after the bar graph is shown.
• Then go to the Reset menu on the TurningPoint tool bar and choose “all slides” – this gets it ready to run.
• TurningPoint Anywhere is a related software that (outside of PowerPoint) opens up a polling session and shows the graph.
